March 2010 saw us extend our event portfolio to the Gulf with the inaugural Abu Dhabi International Triathlon. Over 800 athletes, including the strongest pro field outside of Kona took on one of the most exciting new races in the triathlon calendar.
You cannot afford to miss out in 2011. The course is spectacular and takes in some of Abu Dhabi’s most iconic landmarks including the Emirates Palace, the Corniche, the many public beaches and the jewel in the crown the Yas Marina Formula 1 circuit. There is also a new Sprint Distance available to cater for everyone's needs.
If that doesn’t whet the appetite, then the prize fund of $250,000 (which includes $20,000 for age group categories) and the opportunity to race against the world’s should do!
Conveniently Abu Dhabi also acts as the perfect destination for winter sun. In 2011, why not beat those winter blues by taking the family with you for the week? There is no shortage of things to see and do in one of the world’s most vibrant and beautiful holiday destinations.
