17 October 2010
Location: CEM La Mar Bella, Barcelona, Spain
Distances: Super Sprint, Sprint and Olympic
What better place to tackle the largest triathlon in Spain than in the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona?
The event debuted in 2008 attracting more than 2700 competitors and in 2009 it attracted over a 1,000 more. Racing is available across 3 distances Super Sprint, Sprint and Olympic.
The swim starts on the stunning La Mar Bella beach before biking on closed roads into the city via the Agbar Tower and running through the streets taking in the world famous Parc de la Ciutadella and Arc de Triomf.
In addition to the race, the city of Barcelona provides an eclectic mix of culture, cuisine and sightseeing, here at Challenger World we recommend making a weekend of it!
