Distances: Olympic Distance (1.5km swim, 35km bike, 10km run)
As many of you will know the birthplace of triathlon is San Diego. 2011 sees a brand new Olympic Distance Triathlon return to the city and one that is sure to attract top professional, amateur and beginners from around the globe.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Southern California, the course will challenge competitors through the rolling hills and vistas of Mission Bay, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, and Clairemont. Long bike climbs will reward cyclists with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean while the run course will treat participants to the white sandy beaches and bright blue waters of Mission Bay.
The event weekend will have something for the whole family as we celebrate Triathlon during a two-day health and fitness expo located at the start/finish line on Vacation Isle in the heart of San Diego. We hope you will join us in what is sure to become one of the best triathlons in the world!
